Desktop 3D printer
The LINUS Duplicator 4PRO 3D Printer is an ABS/PLA optimized machine for those who want to explore the frontiers of 3D printing. The troubleshooting guides and documentation in these pages will orient you and get you back on track if something should go wrong. If you need more help, reach out to us through email.
Guides - Adjustments and Procedures
3D Printing can be incredibly versatile once you get beyond the basics, but getting there is daunting. Here's some information that will help you as you move forward.
How can I change filament colors and material?
The easiest way to change the filament is to use the shell script in the machine. Go to Utilities->Filament Options. You can find the options of filament installation and un-installation for both extruders. Follow the operation instructions.
Another way is to use ReplicatorG software to change the filament manually. Firstly, heat the extruders to 225℃and set the speed of the extruder as 3rpm. Then, let the motor run in counter-clockwise direction for about 30 seconds before you un-install the filament and take out the original filament. Finally, insert the new filament and make sure the motor runs in clockwise direction this time.
Note: If you change the filament color, please let the extruders run for a while until the original filament is completely out from the extruder. If you change the filament material, please make sure that all the old material is completely exhausted before you start using the new printing material.
How to deal with abnormal temperature indication?
Sometimes you will encounter one of following phenomenon:
1) The extruder is heating up but the screen indicates that the temperature is decreasing.
2) The extruder temperature should be increased 2~4 Celsius degree every time, but the screen shows that it only increase one by one Celsius degree.
Why?It is because the temperature sensor is loosened during the transportation or printing.
Solution: Tighten the screws by the nozzles with a 2.5mm hex wrench(Temperature sensor should be under the washer entirely.
How to generate s3g or x3g file for SD card?
Following these steps:
1) Generate gcode file
Please refer to the quick start manual. All generated .gcode and STL files are under the same directory.
2) Transfer Gcode file to s3g or x3g file

Click the button in the red pane above, then a window will pop up. Select the Gcode file to be transferred and confirm. A moment later a s3g or x3g file will be generated under the same menu (extension .s3g or x3g). This type of file format can be recognized by Creator.
3) Copy the generated s3g or x3g file to sd card
4) Build through control panel
If you are using the Creator, please select the first item on the main menu—print from sd card on the screen, then you can find all files in sd card. Click the file you want to print, press the OK key to start printing.
How t generate suport architcture
Objects can not stick to the build platform
Users report that after printing for a while, objects slip on the platform resulting in printing failure. The following three reasons may cause this issue:
1. user does not check “Use Raft/Support” option Raft function can improve the printing quality significantly. It also helps the printing model to attach to HBP firmly. We strongly suggest that you use Raft every time when you print. It is easy to use the Raft function, simply check the box shown in the red pane above.
2. HBP(Heated Build Platform) setting temperature is too low
Default temperature of HBP is set at 100℃. However, according to our experience, 100℃ is a bit on the low end. We suggest that you setit at 110℃. You may keep raising the temperature up to 120 ℃. However, we do not recommend that you go higher than 120℃.
First, click the tag that the red arrow points at to switch off to the gcode window.
Find the default setting in the red pane, change 100 to 110, then go to the “file” menu and select ”save”.
3. The distance between nozzles and HBP is too far.
Adjusting the height of HBP by screwing the four screws under the platform. You may need to try several times until you find the best height for HBP.
Also, please keep the printer working in warm room in the cold winter days. If the room temperature gets too low, the edges of the printing object will be slightly rolled up which will cause poor printing quality. .

How to fix the platform jam( Z axle jam)?
1. Please lubricate the thread? This can release the tight.
2. Please loose the 4 bolt at bottom of Z axle. And move the platform up and down for several times. Then screw up the bolt.
3. If the up mentioned 2 steps can not resolver the problem, please connect your computer with printer. Change the Z axle currency from 40 to 70.

How to change HBP temperature?
Please Go into your generated Gcode and find the line that begins with "M109."It will be about fifteen lines down, and the entire line will look something like this:M109 S100 T0 (set HBP temperature)The number after the S is the temperature -- just delete it and replace it with another number. For example, you might find that your ABS prints stick better at 110° C, or that your PLA prints go better if the heated build plate is only set to 40° or 50° C.

If you like your new build platform temperature so much that you want to use it all the time, you can edit the start.gcode file for your profile -- try going to the "Edit Slicing Profiles" window and clicking the "Locate" button. The start.gcode file is where the temperature settings come from, so once you edit it, everything you slice with that profile should show your new temperature.
How to change the Extruder Quantity on the board?
1. Connect your computer to the printer
2. Click Machine---Onboard Preference.

3. Change the Tool count. If you using Single extruder, please choose 1 tool. If you are using double extruder, please choosing 2 tools.. Then commit change.

Congratuation! You have changed the extruder quantity!
