Overview:
This hands-on training course will guide you through every step, from designing to printing on your Makerbot 3D printer.You will learn how to create a basic model in Sketchup, modify existing 3D models from Thingiverse, and use advanced print techniques available in your Makerbot printer for optimal results.
The course is designed for users in professional and educational environments to help increase your productivity and return on investment.
This course can be completed at your location. For additional attendees and other locations pleasecontact us for an estimate.
No formal qualifications are needed, just basic PC or Mac skills. We will provide free links for downloading the necessary software and resources required for the course.

Print your first model:

Download an open source model from Thingiverse.com

Slice the model in Makerware and print it.
From CAD to Print: Design and print your own model

Design a basic part in Google Sketchup.

Prepare your model for print:

Convert the model to STL/OBJ format.(in addition to Sketchup, we will explain how to convert models from other 3D CAD packages)
